Nicki Minaj calls Mariah Carey 'sir' during 'American Idol' disagreement

Its no secret that American Idol co-judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have some hostility towards one another, but on Wednesday nights episode of the show, Minaj angered many when she called Carey sir.

While there hasnt been a rift between the two since the infamous blowout fight during auditions, they finally had a confrontational exchange.

Kree Harrison sang The Black Crowes She Talks to Angels, and the judges disagreed on how she did.

Carey said that she thought Harrison mightve been holding back from her full potential and Minaj suggested it couldve been her high heels and offered That was the best performance of the night, by far.

Hollywoodlife reports thats when it got heated, with Carey firing back You dont really disagree with me and Minaj saying she absolutely did.

I disagree with your disagreement, said Carey, to which Minaj quipped, Simmer down, sir.

However, later on in the show, the Super Bass rapper gave a genuine compliment to Carey, saying she used to cry when she heard the duet with Whitney Houston When You Believe, because she was so touched.
