Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon twins 'have taken their first steps'

Nick Cannon has revealed that his twin children with Mariah Carey, Moroccan and Monroe, have taken their first steps.

The America's Got Talent host said that although the two are taking steps, they have yet to really walk.

"They are taking steps and figuring it out, but I wouldn't say they are walking yet," Cannon told People.

"I thought walking was, like, one day you stand and then you just start walking," he continued. "I didn't know it was a process. There's a lot of falling. They take a few steps and then fall and go right back to crawling."

Cannon went on to say that it's hard for him to be away from his family, including wife Mariah Carey, for a long time.

"I try to not go seven days without seeing them. I'll be with them this weekend," Cannon said.

In April, the parents planned a special birthday party for the twins.
