It seems that a year after giving birth to twins, Mariah Carey is planning on releasing a new album in the summer.
The new mum posted a picture on her Twitter page of her initials with the line Summer 2012 underneath. She added the comment, So.. Summer 2012.. Been in the lab, mixing up some concoctions for you, hope you like it!! #MCSummer2012.
The singer was said by husband Nick Cannon to have been inspired by her recent welcome to motherhood.
Carey reached number three in the US Billboard charts with her last album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and it is likely that her new album will go on to do similar feats.
It was speculated a couple of months ago that Carey was planning to make her musical comeback soon, and it may be sooner than many expected.
Recently Careys twins, Monroe and Morrocan, were revealed to have been taking their first steps.
