Mariah Carey's Christmas favourite tops first US Holiday Songs chart of 2012
Mariah Carey's festive classic All I Want For Christmas Is You has topped the first US Holiday Songs chart of the year. The 1994 tune spent four weeks at number one last year. Brenda Lee's Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree debuts at number two, while Nat King Cole's rendition of The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You) is at three. Bobby Helms' Jingle Bell Rock and Burl Ives' A Holly Jolly Christmas round out the first top five of the seasonal Billboard countdown. Carey performed her chart-topper in New York City on Tuesday at the Christmas tree-lighting ceremony outside the Rockefeller Center. The performance was taped for a TV special, which aired on Wednesday.
