Mariah Careys 12th fragrance Dreams is available exclusively at Kohls this Spring
Yesterday, Mariah Carey revealed that her new fragrance, Mariah Carey Dreams, will be available exclusively at Kohls in April.
Carey shared the news on her Facebook page via a large ad showcasing the honey-colored fragrance in its champagne flute bottle with a trio of lilac butterflies as the stopper. Carey stands in the background with flowing hair and a purple dress.
Carey told People Magazine I humbly call myself a perfumer in training because I love it so much almost as much as I love making music! She also explained that the creation of a new fragrance speaks to her creative self.
Perfume making is certainly an art form. A good fragrance is layered in three notes: the top note is light and inviting, and is the perfume's first impression; the middle note is the heart of the fragrance and takes its time developing on the skin; and the base note is a rich scent that gives the perfume endurance.
Entertainment Weekly got hold of the press release for Careys new fragrance that describes its notes in colorful detail: First an unforgettable top scent that includes caramel apple and toasted almonds. Then a feminine middle of ho! neysuckle and lily of the valley. And finally a subtle, alluring base aroma made of warm patchouli, Tonka bean and Madagascar vanilla grounds. These three stages, according to Carey, symbolize her life story from childhood to becoming an international superstar to being a mother and wife.
This will be Careys 12th perfume since her debut fragrance in 2007.
