Glastonbury festival organiser Emily Eavis has denied reports that Prince and Mariah Carey are in talks to headline the festival later this year. The superstars have both been linked to headline slots on the Pyramid Stage over the past weeks but Emily is has taken to Twitter to deny the claims. According to London's Evening Standard , the American Idol judge is 'in early talks' with event organisers, with both camps allegedly keen for Carey to top the bill across the weekend of June 28-30. A source told the newspaper: "Nothing has been signed yet, but discussions have been opened and both parties seem keen." If the rumours prove to be true, Mariah will follow in the footsteps of Beyonc , who took to the Pyramid Stage in 2011. Mariah Carey is reportedly in talks to make her debut as a headliner at Glastonbury. The singer has emerged as an unexpected choice to join the line-up and is currently in negotiations to take over the Pyramid Stage this summer. Nothing has been signed yet, but discussions have been opened and both parties seem keen. A source told the Evening Standard. The festival took a break in 2012 so as not to clash with the London Olympics and to give the site a chance to recover from years mud, willies and beer. But will it also be taking a permanent break from rock music?
