Mariah Carey and Nicole Scherzinger pay tribute to Whitney Houston

London, Feb. 12 (ANI): Mariah Carey and Nicole Scherzinger took to Twitter to pay homage to late singer Whitney Houston.

Fellow diva Carey led the tributes on Twitter as she took time to remember her close friend and collaborator.

"It's 2/11..remembering my friend the incredible Whitney Houston. It's been a year and still so hard to believe. Her legend lives on eternally," the Daily Mail quoted her as tweeting.

Meanwhile, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger posted a vintage picture of Houston on her Instagram and Twitter page alongside an image of herself channelling the Grammy-Award winning star.

"Today marks the day, it's been a year. I will always love you Whitney.." she wrote in an accompanying caption.

Meanwhile, US singer, Ray J, who was dating Houston at the time of her death, wrote "1 year ago I lost my heart. I would give anything just to see you smile again. I love u so much and I miss you even more today. RiP- Nippy."

British songstress and 'X Factor' winner Alexandra Burke wrote, "1 year today we lost you.. RIP Whitney. You are missed xxx."

Meanwhile, close family friend, producer, director and actor, Tyler Perry, posted a heartfelt tribute on his blog after tweeting 'Whitney. Still Praying.'

Houston passed away on February 11, 2012, when she drowned in her hotel bath tub prior to the Davis party. (ANI)
