President Obama has received support from Hip Hop and R&B artists during the 2008 campaign, as well as his current bid for 2012. Without being commissioned, diva Marey Carey has written a ballad dedicated to the president as a sign of support for him. She debuted "Bring It on Home" at a special Democratic fundraiser held in New York City's Plaza Hotel last Thursday.

She tweeted a portion of the lyrics from the inspirational song: "Strength is what we need and love keeps us alive"

The event was one of two campaign fundraisers held in New York aimed to raise $5 million for the president. Grammy winning singer Alicia Keys also spoke during the gala.

Carey is in the studio recording material with Jermaine Dupri for her fourteen studio album, which is the follow-up to 2010's 'Merry Christmas II You'.
