Mariah Carey collaborating with Rick Ross and Meek Mill for new single

While Mariah Careys rumored new job as judge on American Idol has kept her in the news lately, the singer took to Twitter on Saturday to make another announcement.

Carey tweeted that a new single called Triumphant will come out in early August and will feature Maybach Music Group artists Rick Ross and Meek Mill.

Carey sent out another tweet that gave the personal details behind the making of the song.

According to Celebuzz, Carey wrote and produced the single along with her longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Brian Michael Cox, who were responsible for Careys hits Shake it Off and Dont Forget About Us.

Carey previously collaborated with Rick Ross on the 2008 single Touch My Body (Remix).

The upcoming single will be the first from a new album expected for release sometime this year.

Carey, who has released 10 studio albums over the last 22 years, has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time.

According to reports, Carey is also finalizing a deal to become a judge on American Idol next season.
