Its been nearly two years since American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, gave birth to her beautiful twins Monroe and Moroccan, leaving her to lose a whopping 70lbs, and the star couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The Grammy award winner showed off her sultry physique in a red two-piece during some down time from her performances in Australia last week, where shes on tour for the first time in 15 years and shared photos on her Instagram page. Carey kept her tiny denim mini-skirt on for the candid snap and looked very happy.

The singer made her time Down Under a family affair, ringing in the new year alongside her husband, Nick Cannon and their twins. They travelled after their Christmas holiday in Aspen in order to perform a series of shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Mariah Carey has claimed that she felt "unsafe" on the set of American Idol after her infamous bust-up with her fellow judge Nicki Minaj and revealed that it prompted her to beef up security.

Mariah told US TV presenter Barbara Walters, "It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody's reeling threats at somebody, you know, that's just not appropriate.

"Sitting there on the road with ! two babies, I'm not gonna take any chances, so yeah I did hire more security.

The pop princess is currently working on a new album, which is due to be released in March.
