Christina Aguilera talks Britney Spears, Mariah Carey reality TV roles

Christina Aguilera has opened up about fellow artists Mariah Carey and Britney Spears joining the TV talent show landscape.

Carey and Spears have become judges on American Idol and X Factor USA respectively, while Aguilera has been a coach on The Voice since 2011.

Speaking about Carey and Spears, Aguilera told On Air with Ryan Seacrest: "I welcome them to the TV family, it's a fun place to be. I know that our shows all have different formats and everything, but in all honesty we've been in this business together for a long time.

"I have nothing but ultimate respect for Britney and Mariah and what they do and what they can bring on offer to the table. There's room for all of us divas on TV."

Aguilera previously expressed her support for Spears appearing on X Factor, saying that the 'Toxic' singer is "going to give great advice".

Meanwhile, Spears said that her show and Aguilera's programme are two interesting but "totally different shows".

Both The Voice and X Factor made their season debuts this week. Season three of The Voice began on Monday on NBC, while X Factor premiered its second season on Wednesday on Fox.

Aguilera also recently unveiled her new single 'Your Body', which is the lead single to her upcoming album Lotus.
