Mariah Carey: 'I Could Judge American Idol By Myself!'

Mariah Carey seems to have taken her diva-ways a little too far as she's now said that she could 'naturally judge American Idol BY HERSELF!'. Hmmm...you sure you'd want to take on all that responsibility by yourself, Mariah?

However, the singer has told TMZ that she IS capable of doing it all by herself and apparently with her 'multiple personalities', she's just the person to pull it off!

Carey spoke to photogs on both ends of the country yesterday -- first in NYC, where the paps asked about the tension between herself and Nicki Minaj. Carey shot back, "What tension? There's no tension!"

TMZ then asked Carey who she would like to join her on the judge's panel, since there are still three open chairs. Mariah replied, "I'd answer that, but I'm not quite sure how."

When the website then suggested that she judge the show by herself, Carey made it clear she was very much into the idea, saying: "Naturally ... why not?"

However, much to Mariah's dismay, it looks like rapper Nicki Minaj may be taking her place alongside the feisty female soon enough.

According to Hollywoodlife, the 'Hero' singer doesn't want Nicki on the panel and instead wants her rocker pal Lenny Kravitz.

"Mariah would love to have her dear friend Lenny Kravitz sit next to her on the American Idol judge panel. She thinks he would be the perfect choice because he is extremely talented and knows music inside and out.

Nicki on the other hand isnt established enough to qualify as a judge. Mariah wants a panel of bright, inspirational and constructive judges", the insider continued.

"Not some freak show! Mariah thinks Nicki will just be a distraction and it will all ! be about her and her outrageous behaviour."

"Mariah will NOT be happy if Nicki joins the panel and she has let the producers know just how she feels!

Oh dear! Who would you rather see on the panel?
