Carey and Cannons twins make TV debut

Meet Moroccan and Monroe!

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon unveiled their 6-month-old twins during an interview with Barbara Walters on ABCs 20/20 on Friday night.

My family gives me everything, Cannon beamed to Walters. Unconditional love means ... the world to me. I mean, its completion.

Its just love, a proud Carey added. Its a beautiful place to be.

Carey and Cannon welcomed their twins who they affectionately refer to as Dem Babies in April 2011, on the couples third anniversary.

And as Carey explained to Walters, it wasnt an easy pregnancy.

I dont think I understood the enormity and the magnitude of what it really does to your body, the singer said. Carrying two babies. Unless somebodys been through it, its difficult to understand what I went through, because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me.

What happened was extended bed rest, a few false alarms and several trips to the hospital, all of which left Carey wondering if her body would ever recover from the physical strain.

"I think in some way! s we hav en't really found exactly how far we're going to go with the comedy and the drama," actress says.

I had serious back problems, she said. I was afraid I wasnt going to be able to walk properly again. It was a huge strain.

As for how the twins entered the world when Carey hit her 35th week of pregnancy, it was a sound both mom and dad were very familiar with.

They came into the world to a live version [of my song Fantasy], Carey told Walters. The only reason I wanted it to be the live version is because I wanted them to hear th! e applau se upon entering the world.
