Mariah Carey craved Slurpees

Mariah Carey had cravings for cherry-flavoured 'Slurpees' during her pregnancy.

The 'Hero' hitmaker claims she 'didn't even care about food' while she was expecting twins Moroccan and Monroe - who were born in April - but was constantly thirsty for the slushy ice-based drinks and also 'candied apples'.

Debuting the six-month-old twins to the world for the first time during an interview with Barbara Walters on ABC's 20/20 to air this Friday (21.10.11), Mariah's husband Nick Cannon said: 'She did have cravings. The thing that we always would share together would be Big Gulp Slurpees.'

Mariah explained: 'The cherry. The red flavour. I just wanted like thirst-quenching things. I didn't even care about the food really.'

Nick added: 'Or candied apples too - early on. It's hard to find them at two in the morning!'

The couple - who welcomed the twins into the world on their third wedding anniversary - recently admitted while son Moroccan has a 'laid back' personality, daughter Monroe is already showing 'diva' tendencies.

Nick said: 'My daughter is a diva. My son is laid back. When he wakes up, he wakes up smiling. He'll wait for a minute and if he's hungry, he'll let you know.

'My daughter is just instant, she goes in and will not stop crying until you give her what she wants. It's like sleep and then screaming. My daughter is just on one all the time.'
