Mariah Carey is Latest Multitasking Mom in Hollywood - What Other Celebs Are Next?

Flu season is rolling in, but there also seems to be another apparently contagious condition flooding Hollywood -- motherhood. In this age of multitasking, some of Hollywood's most talented personalities are taking on a tall order: being moms and continuing their high-profile careers are the same time. Among the new moms in Hollywood is Mariah Carey, who gave birth to twins on April 30. And despite the obligations of her and husband Nick Cannon's busy careers, Carey still found time to deck out a deluxe nursery, which was profiled in Life & Style magazine . It's not difficult to see why; the cribs alone cost more than $3,500 and is stocked with more plush animals than you'd find in a zoo gift shop.

Of course, Carey isn't the only new or soon-to-be mom in Hollywood; here are a few other talented women making the transition from baby bump bearers to multitasking moms.

Fergie : Some saw the Black Eyed Peas songstress' motherhood coming sooner than others, as Fergie seemed to be giving a spelling lesson in "Fergalicious," which features the lyrics "I'm the F to the E, R, G, the I, the E." And now that a BEP hiatus appears imminent , Fergie will have time to concentrate on starting a family with husband Josh Duhamel. Her impending parenthood has at least one endorsement; bandmate will.i.am. called Fergie " a beautiful person" with "great morals, a sweetheart" who would make "a great mom."

Be! yonce : Talk about a power couple -- Jay-Z and Beyonce are two of the biggest forces in music, and according to recent reports , the sure-to-be-talented offspring of the couple will arrive in February. And if Beyonce's tireless touring and studio work are any indication, you can probably expect to see Beyonce back to making music in time for March Madness. No word yet on a release date for the Beyonce-Jay-Z baby's first single.

Jennifer Garner : Contrary to the creepy mother she portrayed in "Juno," Garner can indeed have a child, and she and husband Ben Affleck are getting ready to welcome a second child into their family, which also includes Seraphina and Violet. The upcoming addition is expected to be a boy, so Affleck won't have to be the only male in the household anymore.

Keri Russell : In addition to preparing for her role in the movie "Austenland," Russell is preparing to welcome a second child into her life. The actress and husband Shane Deary have a son, River, who was born in 2007. Russell didn't let pregnancy halt her productivity in the past, as she appeared in 2006's "Mission Impossible: III" and "Waitress" and "August Rush" in 2007.
