Dem Babies have hit primetime television.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon debuted their six-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe during an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 aired on Friday.

The happy parents talked about everything from being new parents to dealing with Carey's difficult high-risk pregnancy, which included several false labor scares.

"I don't think I understood the enormity and the magnitude of what it really does to your body," Carey, 41, told Walters. "Carrying two babies. Unless somebody's been through it, it's difficult to understand what I went through, because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me."

During the interview, the multiplatinum singer sang "We Belong Together" to her pint-size look-alikes, affectionately nicknamed Roc and Roe.

The twins were born in L.A. on April 30--just as Carey and Cannon celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

Cannon said he's already pla! nning ah ead for his children's future, calling the twin's "little geniuses."

He said he doesnt want them to follow too much in their famous parents footsteps.

"Society puts too much on entertainment and entertainers," he said. "They praise them like they're royalty, especially in America, where it should really be about the teachers or, you know, the doctors. I want them to be able to sing as beautifully as their mother. I want them to be able to play instruments and everything. But I want them like 'Go get a Ph.D.'"

In June, Cannon told U.S. Weekly his son was "laid back like me," while daughter Monroe takes after her pop star mother.

"My daughter's a diva like her mom," he said.

Carey told Walters she and her younger hubby have had no trouble adjusting to family life.

"It's just love," she said. "It's a beautiful place to be."
