Mariah Carey, Hugh Jackman auctioning artwork for charity

Mariah Carey and Hugh Jackman are among the stars who are auctioning artwork for charity.

The stars have partnered with Pencils of Promise to create signature drawings or messages to help improve children's education around the globe.

Pencils of Promise gave each celebrity a piece of paper and a pencil to create a unique and personalised work of art.

Jaden Smith also has a piece of original art up for sale, while Coldplay's 'Self Portrait' recently took in $1,675 (1,068) and Lea Michele's 'Be' fetched $700 (446).

Fans of these stars can bid on each work of art, with all the proceeds helping to build schools in developing nations.

Pencils of Promise, which was launched in 2008, is currently working in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Laos.
