Mariah Carey, upcoming judge on American Idol, has taken some time off this Christmas to have some quality time with her husband and twins in Aspen, Colorado. The pair have been staying in their lavish abode, full of beautiful festive decorations. Theyre posting quite frequently on Instagram about the trip, and seem to be having a blast! But soon enough, Mariah will be heading back to get down to business!
Mariah posted a picture of her snuggling her 20-month-old daughter Monroe, who was sittin! g in a directors chair emblazoned with Mariahs signature butterly. She also posted a picture of husband Nick Cannon rocking out in headphones while lamb slippers (Were assuming theyre Mariahs slippers, since she calls her fans lambs) by a huge Christmas tree.
They seem to be having a blast, and Mariahs been doing some shopping while out in Aspen! Shes been spotted at Gucci, along with a few other local stores, perusing the goods. The family is making the Aspen getaway a yearly tradition due to its wintery wonderland!
After the Christmas season ends, however, Mariah heads back to work in order to start taping for American Idols 12th season. We wonder if shes going to be giving Nicki Minaj a gift from Aspen? Mariahs also expected to release her 14th album, which shes very excited about. (And for good reason, since her last album didnt do so hot!) She gushed about her newest project, saying Im collaborating with a lot of my favorite people but the main thing is Im not trying to follow any particular trend, I want it to be well received. I want to stay true to myself and the music that I love and make the fans happy. You go girl! We cant wait to hear it!
