Mariah Carey's daughter Monroe has clearly inherited her mother's glamourous genes and looked absolutely adorable while enjoying a dressing up session with her mum.

The one-year-old tot had a good raid through Mariah's jewellery box, judging by the oh-so-cute Instagram photo posted to the star's account.

Looking pretty in a pink top and bottoms, Monroe borrowed her mum's precious pearls to give her outfit a touch of glamour. Accessorising her look with a pink bow in her hair, glasses and a dummy.

Captioning the sweet photo, the American Idol judge wrote: "Ms. Monroe seems to think sometimes pearls can be your best friends too: )"

Mariah and hubby Nick Cannon were rumoured to have clashed last month after the presenter's funny comments on her parenting skills didn't go down to well with the mum-of-two.

"The kids run the house. My wife is being the diva that she is. Im trying to keep up with them," he told talk show host Anderson Cooper.

According to the National Enquirer, Mariah gave Nick a firm dressing down and "ordered him to put a lid on his insulting wisecracks".
