American Idol fans may be disappointed if they expect diva drama to plague the upcoming season. Could it be that the feud started between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey in Charlotte, NC has deflated, and the two divas are making nice? Or are the claws still out? Take the jump for more details.
According to People, Minaj spoke fondly of her fellow judges and the relationship she had with them. Weve jelled really, really well as a group, she said. We have a great chemistry. We have a gre! at rhythm now together, and we really are taking it serious. We really are rooting for the contestants and we want to find a great American Idol.
But Carey doesnt seem so quick to sing the praises of her fellow judges, at least not all of them. While she praised Randy Jackson and referred to Keith Urban as a country music expert, she didnt offer the same type of compliment to Minaj. As a group, Carey said, I think this panel is great because of the diversity. But when questioned specifically about Minaj, she declined comment saying, You know, I wouldnt feel comfortable commenting on that, but thank you for the question.
Since the feud between Minaj and Carey broke out in Charlotte, NC, people have speculated whether the divas were truly feuding or if it was simply a publicity stunt on the shows part to drive ratings. While we cant be certain, it appears Minaj is being sugary sweet and Carey is avoiding the issue. I guess well just have to wait and see
