American Idol's past and future will unite this Wednesday night as season 10 winnerScotty McCreeryjoins the show's newest judge,Mariah Carey,toring in the holiday season at New York City's annual "Christmas at Rockefeller Center" tree lighting ceremony.

The live show, which airs Nov. 28, also featuresThe VoicecoachCee Lo Green, who is promoting his Christmas CD, Cee Lo's Magic Moment. Other performers includeVoicefinalistChris Mann,Rod Stewart,Trace Adkins,Victoria Justice, andIl Volo. The show is hosted by NBC personalitiesAl RokerandSavannah Guthrie, with special appearances byBilly CrystalandBette Midler.

McCreery joins a growing list of Idol alums who've helped light up the Rockefeller Christmas tree, including season seven winnerDavid Cook, season five runner-up Katharine McPhee,season four winnerCarrie Underwoodand season one championKelly Clarkson.

McCreery is supporting his latest CD, Christmas With Scotty, and performed in the Big Apple last week with a Friday night bow at the Beacon Theatre, that doubled as a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief.
