Mariah Carey, No Doubt performing on NFL kick-off special

Mariah Carey and No Doubt will perform before the NFL's first game of the season.

Both acts will take to the stage at New York City's Rockefeller Plaza during NBC's half-hour pre-game show on Sunday, September 5.

Carey promoted her appearance by promising to make the season opener "even more festive" than usual.

No Doubt are expected to perform a song from their LP Push and Shove, while Carey will debut a track from her upcoming 14th studio album as well.

The pre-game show airs September 5 at 7.30 ET on NBC.

Cee Lo Green has also teamed up with the NFL to record the Thursday Night Football theme 'I Love Football', which will debut during the September 13 game.
