Mariah Carey Puts Meek Mill In Boxing Ring In 'Triumphant' Video Tease

In her new video tease for "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" Mariah Carey slinks around in a body-hugging gold dress and leaves the heavy-lifting to Meek Mill, who plays a boxer in the clip.

In the short tease, Carey stands in front of a glittering wall as she sings about overcoming adversity. A chinchilla-clad Rick Ross sits front row as Meek enters the ring hoping to take down his competition, a fitting metaphor for the song.

Carey tweeted late Monday that the full video will premiere on BET on Tuesday evening. The video was directed by her hubby Nick Cannon, and the single was co-produced by Bryan-Michael Cox and Carey's longtime collaborator, Jermaine Dupri. It is the first single being released off of Carey's highly anticipated upcoming album, which is due out next year.

"Meek adds an excitement, a newness to the record that is pretty rare right now," Carey said in a conference call with reporters earlier this month. "Working with Ross and Meek on the same record was incredible. Obviously, Ross is a star and everybody loves him. I'm a fan of his music. I really, really wanted to work with him. I love the tone of his voice. I think the contrast of his voice and mine would be something special. I always like to do collaborations that people might think are different."

This album is MC's first since 2009's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and her first since having children. Cox explained to MTV News this song really means a lot to Carey as she embarks on this next era ! of Mimi. He said, "This song is kind of inspirational. It's close to her heart, and I think her fans are going to really, really be emotionally attached to this song."
