Mariah Carey Sends 'Desperate Messages' To Lenny Kravitz To Fill American Idol Spot?
WENNMariah Carey has had yet another say in who is to fill that empty seat on American Idol and she's reportedly now said she'd like it to be her rocker pal Lenny Kravitz. Hmm, thoughts?
They may have duetted on a track together but it appears Mariah Carey isn't too happy with the reports that Nicki Minaj could be joining her on American Idol.
With reports suggesting that Nicki is "definitely" going to be on the panel, TMZ has now reported that Mariah was less than happy with the news, so much so that she hung up her phone when she heard. And this definitely explains her sudden urge to get one of her friends on the show instead...in the form of rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Coincidentally, after hearing the Minaj gossip, the 'Heartbreaker' singer took to Twitter to upload a sneaky snap of herself and Lenny, with the caption: "@AmericanIdol What's going on? need the info!! What about this combo? if we could ever get him to do it!"
And the star seemed more than interested and tweeted back, "@MariahCarey @AmericanIdol Girl, we've known each other since we were teenagers. How fun would that be?!"
But, somehow we don't think that one random tweet will be enough, Mariah! Do you?
According to ShowbizSpy, the insider claimed: "Mariah was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judges panel.."
As for the composition of the judges panel, were told by no means is it a done deal. There are two scenarios being played out. First, its unclear if Randy Jackson will come back as a judge or a mentor. If he leaves the judges panel, there will be another spot to fill."
Some bosses believe its a mistake to have two women and a man on the panel, and a 4th male judge would be n! ecessary .
