10 Bitter Celebrity Feuds

Off the back of the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj bitch fight on American Idol, we take a look back at other celeb feuds that made headlines!

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Woo, boy! While we thought we'd see sparks fly with these two hot-tempered divas at one judging table, we didn't expect to see them so quickly! Filming at auditions for American Idol in North Carolina was halted after Minaj went off at Carey, slamming the pop icon for being disrespectful, calling the pop icon "her f***ing higness" and yelling "Off with your head!" and later being overheard threatening to shoot Carey. Carey later told The View that she had hired extra security to which Minaj took to her Twitter account to write: "I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn. (sic)"

Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes

We're not sure exactly what these two are feuding over the title of "Most Off-the-Rails Former Child Star", perhaps but Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan haven't been holding back. In the wake of Bynes' legal troubles which include having her car impounded and being charged with two hit-and-runs, Lohan tweeted: "Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" Meanwhile, it's rumoured that Bynes "obsessively hates" Lohan.

Madonna and Lady Gaga

Madonna's feud with Lady Gaga heated up after the pop legend criticised Gaga's Born This Way as "reductive" and a "wrongful redo" of her iconic track Express Yourself. Gaga hit back with: "It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work... And! that do esn't make me feel good at all." Now it seems Madonna makes a point of mentioning Gaga at almost all of her live shows And it's never to say anything nice.

Chris Brown and Drake

These two have been feuding for years over Drake's alliance with Brown's ex, Rihanna - and it all came to a head earlier this year when they and their entourages got involved in a physical altercation in a night club. Glasses were thrown, property destroyed, people injured... It was messy. Brown reportedly has "no beef" with that night, according to a pal, and we think his apparently rekindled relationship with Rihanna may have helped him move on...

The Kardashians and

Mad Men star Jon Hamm really, really doesn't like the Kardashians and Kim in particular. The actor previously referred to the reality star and Paris Hilton as "f***ing idiots", before giving another interview in which he was quoted as saying "'The sexy thing is so ephemeral and meaningless other than in the world of selling magazines. Who cares, when it's reduced to just that? You might as well be a Kardashian and have a sex tape." Ouch.

Also somebody who can't stand the Kardashians? Daniel Craig! In the January issue of GQ, the man who plays James Bond said: "Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions. I don't think they were that badly off to begin with but now look at them. You see that and you think 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f***ing idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?" We're picking up a trend here.

Chelsea Handler and Angelina Jolie

Chelsea Handler and Jennifer Aniston are quite tight friends and so it's no wonder that the comedienne uses Brad Pitt's now-fiancee for material. In December last year, Handler was quoted as saying that Angelina is a "homewrecker. She is ! She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to". In her defense, Handler remarked that she had been "making fun of Angelina Jolie since she made out with her brother" in 2000, according to the New York Daily News.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

Until 2005, Nicole and Paris were ultimate BFFs and stars of The Simple Life. Although the full reason behind the spat was never revealed, Richie apparently became jealous because Hilton was getting most of the attention and reportedly gathered all of their friends and played Paris' famous sex tape. Although the two continued their very public spat through the media, they eventually reconciled in 2006 - although things haven't quite been the same since.

Lindsay and Michael Lohan

Lindsay and Michael Lohan have a rocky relationship at the best of times, not helped by the fact that daddy Lohan uses the media to talk to his daughter instead of just dropping her a text. She previously labelled her father a "public embarrassment and a bully", and said that "If he really cared about me and my life, then he would learn to respect my wishes by staying out of it". Lindsay has previously told the media that her father was physically abusive to her mother.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift

Kanye West caused an uproar in 2009 when he rushed to the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award at the MTV Video Music Awards. "Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!" West declared. Even US president Barack Obama called West a "jackass". Swift reportedly addressed the incident in her song Innocent, and West was not impressed with her reaction to the entire incident, saying: "Taylor never came to my defense in any interview ... and rode it and rode it".

Mariah Carey and Eminem

Although their feud tracks back to barbed exchanges in some of their songs, the Mariah Carey/Eminem feud exploded after she impersonated the rapper in her music video Obsessed. Eminem released a track that included details about their sex life although Carey has long denied ever dating the rapper. Eminem reportedly also threatened to release photos and voice-mail recordings that he has been holding onto Although, we're not sure why.
