News: Obama Picks Sides in Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey Feud

With the big day only a few weeks away, President Barack Obama has finally taken time to address the most important issue of the election: Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey's American Idol feud.

During a call-in interview to The Yo! Show, Obama told radio DJ Michael Yo, "I think that they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident."

Like a true politician, Obama rallied for peace between the two divas: "I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding ! artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

However, the president didn't hesitate when asked which singer was his favorite. "Mariah," Obama said. "She's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She's a wonderful lady,"

But that doesn't mean the commander-in-chief doesn't rock out to some Minaj every now and then. "Nicki, I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."

We wonder if that includes her recent guest verse on Lil Wayne's "Mercy," in which she rapped, "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy bitches is f---in' up the economy."

When asked about Minaj's verse last month by Orlando's Power 95.3 radio station! , Obama s! aid, "I'm not sure that is actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."
