Stevie Nicks on Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj American Idol feud: I would have strangled her to death right there

The feud between American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj has drawn several interesting responses and now Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks is having her say about it.

Nicks, who appeared on Idol last season as a guest mentor, told The Daily that if she was Carey, she wouldnt have put up with Minajs threats.

How dare this little girl! she said. If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there.

Nicks, who is promoting her In Your Dreams documentary, continued, I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it.

However, the Dreams singer said that if she and Lindsey Buckingham were starting their careers now, they definitely would have done Idol.

Thats how you get seen these days, she said of how singing competitions have become popular. I would have had to drag [Lindsey] kicking and screaming. He probably would have given them the finger.

She did say that she would never be a judge, though. If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire...I dont think Id like it very much.

The feud between Carey and Minaj had been rumored about even before Minaj officially joined Idol. It was then confirmed when TMZ posted a video of Minaj screaming at Carey during filming. Carey later told Barbara Walters that she doesnt feel ! comfortable emotionally and added more security.
